Timac Agro South Africa is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Manager to drive profitability in our designated regions. In this role, you will coach and manage our Technical Sales Representatives (TSRs) while partnering with distributors within the region. We are looking for a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills who can foster an environment that promotes future sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue and Profitability: Achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets for your region.
  • Manage Employee Lifecycle: Oversee recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development to motivate and retain talent.
  • Provide Quality Mentorship: Guide TSRs to embody the company’s values and drive performance.
  • Lead Sales Activities: Direct the region’s selling strategies, ensuring effective resource allocation and customer engagement.
  • Forecast and Track Sales: Maintain accurate forecasting and sales tracking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Set Vision and Business Plans: Establish a clear vision for the region and develop actionable plans to achieve it.
  • Evaluate Market Trends: Analyze market conditions, gather competitive intelligence, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Make Informed Decisions: Utilize data to drive problem-solving and strategic direction for the region.
  • Promote Team Spirit: Foster collaboration and mutual respect among team members.
  • Identify New Opportunities: Actively seek out and capitalize on opportunities that benefit the company.

Profil

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership abilities with a strong track record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Science (B.Sc), or equivalent.
  • Established sales experience with a robust network of clients in agriculture.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of fertilizers and plant/animal nutrition.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the agriculture industry or related fields (e.g., forestry).
  • Strong relationship management and business development skills.
